— A real-life urban game of spycraft, exciting missions… and surprise water attacks —

April 16th 20:00 - 23:30
Amsterdam

This is not a drill. The Network is activating all agents for Operation: SPYCRAFT, and as night falls, the city will become the domain of spies, with secret missions… and unexpected water attacks.

Everyone's undercover, so trust no one, move swiftly, and don't get splashed.

The game ends in a final debrief at a bar.

Operation: Spycraft

A night-time underground spy game

Operation: SPYCRAFT is a thrilling, evening-long real-life spy adventure. From the moment you're activated at 20:00 until the final debrief, the city is your playground. Expect covert missions, tense encounters in the dark, and unexpected ambushes from rival agents.

Your mission

  • ☑️ Complete time-sensitive covert operations
  • ☑️ Take out enemy agents (with a water gun!)
  • ☑️ Survive until the mission finale

What to expect

At nightfall you are summoned to meet your handler in Vondelpark. There you will receive your briefing, a first mission and a water weapon. After that, it's game on!

Sneak, hide and run through the night and follow a trail of clues that leads criss-cross through Amsterdam west.

But be careful, everyone in these streets could be a rival! It's your task to assess carefully before you strike. Who will pull their water gun first?

Always watch your back! If you get hit by another agent you are wounded and have to stand down for 5 minutes. Three strikes and you're out!

Every agent fends for themselves, maybe you find an ally but can you trust this fragile alliance?

After the finale, all agents can meet at a safe space, have a drink and share stories from their missions.

Rachel Traboulsi Operation: Spycraft participant

"The event was really well organized and it was packed with exciting missions. The other players were also very engaged in the game, you are bound to have a great time if you join!"

Reena Operation: Spycraft participant

"If you tell me to be a spy for 24 hours, I'll be a spy. I won't just pretend. Thank you, guys! This was the most complete game experience I have ever been part of: all of its elements came together to make me feel like I was a real secret agent racing against time through a European capital, the threat of being outsmarted by other agents always around the corner. I ran, walked, read, observed and even slept like a real spy would, knowing that your game would reward me for it, and it truly did. And that such a competitive experience could end with such wholesome moments after the 'mission accomplished' proved it was designed, and played, with love."

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I get when I play?

At the start location, you'll have your mugshot taken (which will be shared with all other players) and you will receive:

  • Your codename
  • Your Network ID card
  • Your mission briefing and instructions
  • A small, stealthy water gun
  • Access to the Network communication channel on Telegram.

All other details will be communicated after sign-up.

Do I play solo or in a team?

Spies generally move alone through the night, but alliances, betrayals, and secret deals may occur during the game.

What if it rains?

The game continues even if it rains. Umbrellas are allowed as shields against airborne water attacks.

How can I spot other players?

Every active agent must wear one visible accessory while in the game:

  • 🧢 a cap
  • 😎 sunglasses
  • 👔 a tie
  • 🎒 or a backpack

However, the only guarantee that someone is also an agent is seeing their Network ID Card.

What do I need to play?

A healthy dose of courage for a thrilling adventure. Every active spy should wear one recognizable accessory (a cap, sunglasses, tie, or backpack) and carry a (charged up) phone with Telegram Messenger installed on it. You may also bring your water weapon of choice.

How do I eliminate other agents?

When you hit another agent with a splash from your water weapon, they take a strike and must stand down for 5 minutes. Each agent has three strikes, on the third, they're out. Eliminated agents surrender their Network ID card.

What happens after I shoot someone?

The shot agent stands down for 5 minutes and loses one strike toward elimination. Report the takedown with a photo or video to the Network via Telegram when that's part of your briefing. A hit is official once both players confirm in chat.

What if I get eliminated?

Pick up a bandage, and rejoin as a Goon. You can't win as last agent alive, but you can still rack up kills.

Can I eliminate Goons?

When a goon is shot they must take off their bandage and wait 5 minutes before rejoining the game.

How will I receive missions?

Via a Telegram broadcast channel. Some missions are timed.

What happens if I fail a mission?

Failing to complete a mission means that you may lose your status as an active agent of "The Network", but you can continue as a Goon.

Are there safe zones?

Yes: public transport, the indoor parts of restaurants and bars, and areas where water weapons clearly aren't allowed.

How does the game end?

The mission finale wraps up the night; we crown standout agents and see who survived as last agent standing.

What happens after the final mission?

We meet at a bar for the final debrief—drinks, awards, and stories from the field.

Where does the game take place?

You start with your handler in Vondelpark; clues and missions lead you criss-cross through Amsterdam west. Exact meet-up details are shared when you sign up.

What do I wear?

Dress for the weather and for sneaking. Costumes are welcome. Each agent must wear one visible accessory: 🧢 a cap, 😎 sunglasses, 👔 a tie, or 🎒 a backpack.

What kind of water gun should I bring?

Any water pistol or Super Soaker that doesn't look too realistic is acceptable. Avoid anything that could be mistaken for a real firearm, and remember that bigger isn't always better when it comes to spycraft.

Can I bring friends?

Absolutely. If you are looking to hunt down your best (or worst) friends, make sure they sign up in time.

What happens with my data?

Your phone number and mugshot are used only for gameplay and are shared with other players in the Network Telegram channel. Optionally, you can be added to the community chat/newsletter afterward. All other data will be deleted.
